The Glendale Planning Commission will consider rezoning plans for an 11.3-acre property at 83rd Avenue and Camelback Road.
Barclay Group wants Glendale to change the zoning on the property from a shopping center designation to general commercial. Barclay wants to develop a new commercial plaza on the property and contends the broader zoning status will allow that center to attract and house a wider variety of uses.
The property sits at the northwest corner of Camelback Road and 83rd Avenue. The parcel has been slated for development before but is mostly undeveloped. There is an existing emergency foot care medical center on the site.
The Glendale Planning Commission will vote on the zoning changes at its Sept. 5 meeting.
