The pro-bond For the Best Scottsdale campaign has already raised more money than any of last year’s City Council candidates, bringing in over $340,000 as of September 30.
The bond political action committee’s $340,416 haul is approaching a total of $426,758 raised by all five candidates in last year’s City Council election.
It’s also more than double the $134,308 taken in last year’s Yes For Scottsdale Streets campaign that supported the passage of a 0.10-percent sales tax to fund street projects.
Campaign spokesman Jason Rose of the Rose+Moser+Allyn public relations firm said the amount of contributions shows support is widespread throughout the city.
