Kaplan Development Group wants to develop a new 331-unit apartment complex in Scottsdale at Shea Boulevard near 94th Street.
The Houston-based developer is asking the city of Scottsdale for general plan and zoning changes to allow for the development of the apartments.
Kaplan has submitted plans with Scottsdale for the proposed 13-acre multifamily development adjacent to an existing commercial center.
Plans call for 632 parking spaces. The city requires 480 spaces. Kaplan is also proposing a rooftop deck, valet trash service and a teaching kitchen with cooking classes at the proposed complex.
