New apartments get go-ahead in Chandler

The Chandler City Council has approved rezoning plans for the Chandler 101 mixed-use project and a new 208-unit apartment complex on a vacant industrial site.

The council approved rezoning a vacant 20-acre site at Chandler Boulevard and the Loop 101 freeway to allow for 200 apartments at Van Trust Real Estate’s proposed Chandler 101 development.

Van Trust also has plans for offices and a hotel at the development which is near Chandler Fashion Center.

The council also approved rezoning plans to allow LGE to build a new 208-unit apartment complex at Nevada Street and Commonwealth Avenue.
