Phoenix approves $800,000 reimbursement for arena, hotel development

The Phoenix City Council has approved an $800,000 reimbursement for a developer building a new sports arena and hotel near Interstate 17 and the Loop 303 freeway.

The Council action will reimburse Legacy Sports Arena LLC up to $800,000 for public infrastructure improvements in developing the arena and hotel project.

Legacy Sports is building a new 171,000-square-foot, 1,500-seat arena and an 88-room, 58,700-square foot hotel on a vacant 20-acre property at North Valley Parkway and Bronco Butte Trail.
