The Phoenix City Council is scheduled to vote Wednesday on a $75 million bond deal to build new student housing for Arizona State University in downtown Phoenix.

The project is slated for Filmore Street and First Avenue.

The council is being asked to approve Industrial Development Authority Bonds for Downtown Phoenix Student Housing II LLC to build students housing for ASU.

That LLC is an arm of Tucson-based Community Finance Corp., according to Arizona Corporation Commission records.
