Phoenix expects to see more than 4 million square feet of new bioscience and health care related real estate developments over the next 24 months.

Those developments total $3 billion in new investments will create 7,000 new jobs.

The Phoenix City Council will get a briefing tomorrow on the growth of the bioscience and biotechnology sectors.

Phoenix Community and Economic Development Director Christine Mackay and her staff have put a focus on attracting more bioscience jobs and companies to the city.

That includes bringing in research and development, biotech, precision and health care education.

Projects in the works are landing in downtown, midtown and north Phoenix.
