The City of Scottsdale was recognized as the Global Business City of the Year at the 2019 Global Chamber “Grow Globally Fair.” The Global Chamber “Grow Globally Fair” is in its 12th year and evolved through a need to recognize and celebrate leaders who lead, excel and push the boundaries in international business. The Global Chamber is connected in more than 525 metros and 195 countries and helps companies export, import and invest globally.
The awards celebrate the success in foreign markets by Arizona leaders and featured over 25 categories with over 100 nominees. The Global Business City of the Year award committee researched several Arizona cities and their activity in the international market as well as their ability to attract and retain international activities. The key to Scottsdale’s success has been their international ties, globally recognized events and the efforts of their economic development department to relocate global companies.
