Tucson eyes mixed-use development deal at Downtown Ronstadt Transit Center

The Tucson City Council is slated to consider today a development deal for a new mixed-use project at the Downtown Ronstadt Transit Center.

Peach Properties HM Inc. which is led by developer Ron Schwabe, want to build a $60 million mixed-use project on the 4.3-acre site.

Peach Properties is the preferred bidder after the city of Tucson issued an RFP for the site. Alexander Company was the other bidder.

Peach Properties is proposing 300 to 400 apartments, 20,000 to 30,000 square feet of office and commercial space and structured parking at the site.

The deal under consideration includes the city selling some parcels that transit center to the developer.
