Women-owned investment firm buys another chunk of West Valley land

SLM Land Holdings, the Phoenix land investment firm created by Anita Verma-LallianEileen Jain Sahai and Smita Patil Mehta, has bought a third parcel of West Valley land, bringing the group’s total holdings to more than 300 acres.

The group closed on 72 acres near Van Buren Street and 335th Avenue, which was attractive to the firm’s investors because of its proximity to the proposed Interstate 11 route, Verma-Lallian said.

With the latest purchase, Verma-Lallian said the firm now is looking to scale the business, which might include hiring employees and integrating more technology into the practice.
