Cities join forces to combat homelessness

Scottsdale is exploring new ways to combat the homelessness crisis, including joining forces with other East Valley cities in an effort to provide easier access to services and housing solutions.

On Nov. 25, the Scottsdale City Council will consider authorizing the city to join a collaboration aimed at finding solutions to address homelessness with Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler and Apache Junction.

Maricopa County and the Maricopa County Continuum of Care, a division of the Maricopa County Association of Governments, will also participate in the group.
