Mesa to vote on rezoning for medical marijuana dispensary move

The Mesa City Council is scheduled to vote later today on rezoning a shopping center so it can accommodate a medical marijuana dispensary.

PDE Investments LLC is asking Mesa to rezone the commercial center at 535 Baseline Road for industrial uses. The property is east of Country Club Drive.

If the Mesa Council rezones the property industrial that could allow the nearby Kind Meds medical marijuana dispensary to relocate to a larger location at the center.

The proposed development plan would allow for the medical marijuana dispensary but not some other industrial uses included in the zoning category.
