A south Tempe homeowner’s elaborate “Nightmare Before Christmas” display has come under fire by his neighborhood association following concerns about traffic and safety.
The HOA held a special meeting Monday to hear residents’ views on the display.
For the past two years, from Halloween to Christmas, Francis Brown’s home on El Freda Road has been transformed into an eye-catching haunted nightmare with jack-o-lanterns on the lawn, skeletons hanging from trees and Tim Burton-esque figures representing each member of the Brown family.
But complaints from neighbors could cut his display’s three-month shelf life short.
