Looks like the Republican Party has finally figured out that Donald Trump could be hazardous to one’s political health in Arizona.
If one’s name is Martha McSally, that is.
The Trump campaign on Friday announced its honorary chairs for Arizona, a cavalcade of the party’s leading lights in this battleground state:
Gov. Doug Ducey, Rep. Paul Gosar, Rep. Debbie Lesko, Rep. Andy Biggs and Rep. David Schweikert.
Missing from the list is the only other Republican in Arizona’s congressional delegation: McSally.
I can think of two reasons for this:
1. McSally has finally come to her senses and realized she cannot be elected if she remains at her current location, snug in the presidential pocket.
Or 2. The Trump campaign fears that McSally has finally come to her senses and realized she cannot be elected if she remains at her current location, snug in the presidential pocket.
McSally’s in a tough spot.
