Ready for our close-up? NBC News, Chuck Todd to focus on Maricopa County in run-up to 2020 election

Get ready for your close-up, Maricopa County.

NBC News and Chuck Todd are launching a year-long project called “County to County,” which will focus on five counties in key states leading up to the 2020 election; Maricopa County is one of them.

“Prepare yourself, Arizona and Phoenix,” Todd, the political director for NBC News and “Meet the Press” moderator, said in an interview. Todd announced the kick-off on Sunday’s episode of the show.

So what makes Maricopa County so special?
