Sen. Kyrsten Sinema earns spot on ‘Time 100’ rising stars

Already a star in Arizona politics, now U.S. Sen. Kyrsten Sinema has been tapped for national prominence, named to Time magazine’s 100 rising stars list released Wednesday.

The Democrat earned a place on the 2019 Time 100 Next, a new entry that goes along with the magazine’s annual selection of the 100 most influential people in the world.

She was included in the leaders category that also named Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, Republican U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York, and #MeToo advocate and former American Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman.
