The city of Glendale is considering adopting new procedures to how it disposes of city owned buildings and real estate.

The Glendale City Council will look at new policy options and protocols for the sale of municipal properties at its December 10 meeting. The Glendale Council will be briefed on policy options at the meeting.

Glendale City Councilman Jamie Aldama has requested the West Valley city establish new formal policies and guideline to how city real estate is sold. That could also include land exchanges and lease deals, according to city documents.

The new policies would be for real estate deals initiated by the Glendale City Council as well as the city manager.
