Superheroes land in north Phoenix on Wednesday, Dec. 4, when Mexico-based restaurant, bar and store ComicX opens at Desert Ridge Marketplace.

The restaurant features all things comic, with more than 25 life-sized statues and figures of comic book heroes and villains, memorabilia from favorite movies, and collectibles available for sale to take home as souvenirs.

Diners can grab a drink with R2-D2 at the bar or chow down in the dining room as the Silver Surfer soars over head at the first location of ComicX to open in the United States.

The north Phoenix restaurant is scheduled to open to the public Wednesday, Dec. 4. A grand opening celebration is planned for early 2020.
