These 10 Valley business leaders have had quite a year

Phoenix, it’s time to think about voting. No, not that vote in 2020 — it’s the one where I hope you, our readers, will weigh in to select the “people’s choice” award as the Business Journal editors and reporters consider our selection as Businessperson of the Year for 2019.

As the Business Journal gears up for our annual Year in Review weekly edition on Dec. 20, we will be looking at all sorts of happenings around the Valley — the biggest deals and the people who made headlines.

We may include a lot of numbers in our stories — what a developer paid for that chunk of land, or how many employees a startup expects to hire — but as far as I’m concerned, what we really write about are people. It’s people who negotiate a merger deal, or move on to take a new gig, or decide to plunk down money to invest in your business. All of those things affect the Valley’s economy in one form or another.
