Palmer Development Group broke ground Tuesday on its latest development on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, a mixed-use project called the Edge, which will total 15 acres near Loop 101 and 90th Street.

The project, designed by Butler Design Group, will include a four-story, 212,000-square-foot office building and several retail buildings, totaling about 22,000 square feet.

Black Rock Coffee, Café Rio and Beauty Bar have signed retail leases, and Daniel Lupien, managing partner and founder of Scottsdale-based Palmer Development, said he has letters of intent signed for some office space, which he said is geared toward corporate headquarters.
