Meritage Homes has submitted site plans in Scottsdale for a new 242-unit multifamily complex at the Artesia development at the northeast corner of Scottsdale and Indian Bend roads.

The property was formerly a Radisson resort and has been eyed for redevelopment for several years.

Plans call for 234 flats and 8 townhouses at the project. The Artesia multifamily development will have four buildings each four stories tall. Plans call for units to range between 1,250 and 3,750 square feet.

The project across from the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park and near the new Ritz-Carlton hotel and luxury development in Paradise Valley.

Scottsdale-based Meritage Homes joins other major homebuilders such as Toll Brothers and Lennar in also pursuing multifamily developments.
