Phoenix looks to add properties to airport redevelopment inventory

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The city of Phoenix is looking at two parcels of land for potential redevelopment.

The Phoenix City Council is scheduled to vote tomorrow to allow city managers to acquire parcels of land at 627 S. 9th Place and 2339 S. 13th Street. The latter land is off Interstate 17 west of Interstate 10 in south Phoenix. The former is southeast of Chase Field.

Both properties are within a 166-acre area near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport or along flight paths designated by the city for potential redevelopment.

If the Council approves moving forward with the sales, city mangers would then try to negotiate a fair market price for the properties.
