Scottsdale starts to look at parking changes that could impact developments

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Scottsdale City Council is scheduled to hold a study session on February 11th that could portend to major changes in parking rules and requirements for new developments and redevelopment projects in Old Town and other parts of the city.

The city staff will brief the City Council on potential changes to Scottsdale’s parking code and will get direction from the elected officials on how to proceed.

Parking, height and density are percolating in Scottsdale as the city charts a number of new and proposed developments in its downtown area and along Scottsdale Road.

Those are also primed to be top election issues in races for mayor and City Council.
