Shope honored by economic development group

State Rep. T.J. Shope, R-Coolidge, has been recognized by the Arizona Association for Economic Development with a 2019 Economic Development Champion Award.

Shope advocated for infrastructure improvements in the state budget, resulting in an allocation of $10 million for the Interstate 10 expansion from Phoenix to Casa Grande. He also sponsored a bill that expands the county transportation tax.
