Taylor Morrison CEO Sheryl Palmer is businessperson of the year

In one of the closest votes in recent years, a female Valley chief executive finished on top in the Phoenix Business Journal’s online readers’ choice poll as Businessperson of the Year for 2019.

Nearly 5,400 online votes were cast this year, to select the winner from among 10 nominees. This year’s nominees were chosen for their impact not only on their own business but their industry sector and the broader community.

Two female executives finished at the top in a tight race, with Sheryl Palmer, president and CEO of Taylor Morrison Home Corp. winning the readers’ choice poll with 28% of the vote.
