Builder purchases even more West Valley lots for entry-level homes

KB Home (NYSE: KBH) is increasing its far West Valley presence with the purchase of another 113 lots within Encanta Estates, a community in south Buckeye that has been a hot spot for new entry-level homes.

This latest purchase adds to 100 lots the Los Angeles-based homebuilder acquired nearly three years ago, said Kevin McAndrews, KB Home’s Phoenix division president.

“What’s really attractive about our participation in this deal in the Buckeye market is we’re able to offer houses in the low $200,000s,” McAndrews said. “One house starts at $205,990.”

That particular residence is 1,439 square feet, he said, with homes as large as 2,541 selling for up to $259,990, he said.
