The Chandler City Council will look at a new $600 million bond package for the expansion of Intel Corp.’s campus in the East Valley.

The Council will be briefed on the new bonds at its meeting today.

The bonds are through the Chandler Industrial Development Authority and will help Intel with its $7 billion expansion of its Chandler campus.

The Chandler City Council and IDA previously approved a $500 million bond package for Intel and its expansion in 2019.

The new bonds will be used for semiconductor manufacturing and environmental facilities at the Intel campus.

Intel already has a significant footprint in the East Valley and the growth is slated to add 3,000 new jobs.
