By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The biggest deals of the past decade were in downtown Tempe and downtown Phoenix.

That is according to commercial real estate firm Commercial Café.

The biggest commercial property sale in metro Phoenix between 2010 and 2019 was the $110 million sale of the Freeport-McMoRan Center in downtown Phoenix. The 26-story office building was sold by National Real Estate Advisors to CIM Group in 2014.

The largest building built in the Phoenix market during the last decade was the 584,507 square foot was Building B at the Marina Height development on Tempe Town Lake. The building was completed in 2016.

Nationally, the top ten largest commercial real estate deals of the decade were all in Manhattan, according to Commercial Café. Those deals totaled a combined $19 billion including Google’s purchase of the Chelsea Market.
