The city of Glendale is looking at annexing two unincorporated parcels on Northern Avenue with hopes of those properties being developed.

The Glendale City Council will hear proposals at its February 25th meeting to consider annexing a 10-acre site at Northern and 107th avenues and a 3.55-acre site at Northern Avenue and the Loop 101 freeway.

The latter is near the Tohono O’odham Nation’s Desert Diamond Casino and State Farm Stadium.

Glendale has a number of other annexations of county land underway or in the works.

The 10-acre site is undeveloped and could be developed into apartments. It is currently home to two billboards.

The 3.55-acre site is also undeveloped. City documents foresee a restaurant and hotel potentially on the site.
