President Trump weighed in on key issues that impact the housing industry during his State of the Union speech last night, including vowing support of opportunity zones, infrastructure reform, and expanding American families’ access to health care plans.

The National Association of REALTORS® released a statement following President Trump’s State of the Union address in support of the president’s continued support for the opportunity zones program. “NAR has worked closely with the administration and Congress to ensure successful implementation of Qualified Opportunity Zones—and today that program is spurring valuable real estate development in countless underserved communities,” says Vince Malta, NAR’s president. “REALTORS® were pleased to hear the president reiterate this commitment, and we look forward to working with the administration in support of these and other bipartisan priorities—including infrastructure modernization.”
