New apartments, rezoning proposed in Gilbert

The Town of Gilbert is looking at rezoning 14.88 acres near Val Vista and Germann roads for a proposed apartment development.LeSuer Investments and IDM Companies want to build a 328-unit multifamily complex on the land.

The project is located at Melrose and Quartz streets. The proposed project is called Acero Val Vista.The Gilbert Town Council will consider at its February 18 meeting a rezoning request.

The land currently has commercial zoning and that needs to be changed to allow for the new planned apartments.
