Where the wealthiest people in the Valley live is no secret: it’s the suburbs.
But the nature of suburban wealth is changing as the Valley grows. Four years ago, the East Valley had four ZIP codes listed among the wealthiest in the region. Today, Gilbert alone has four of the wealthiest areas.
The story is the same in the West Valley. Additions to the list like Waddell and Litchfield Park accompany a rising area like north Peoria, which trails only Paradise Valley, one Phoenix area and Scottsdale as the wealthiest in terms of median household income.
