Queen Creek’s first hotel is under construction as new businesses are announcing plans to open in the town or are expanding from nearby communities to set up shop here.
Some that opened in early 2020 are Barrio Queen (Jan. 30) and Skechers (Jan. 16), both at the Queen Creek Marketplace on the southwest corner of Rittenhouse and Ellsworth Loop roads; and Dutch Bros Coffee (Jan. 24), at the Shops at Terravella, a new commercial center on the northeast corner of Queen Creek and Ellsworth roads.
“The strong residential growth creates an increase in demand for retail, restaurants and services. Queen Creek’s strong demographics, including high household median income and large families, help further drive demand,” Doreen Cott, the town’s economic development director, said. “With a variety of new shopping centers, there are great locations for small businesses to locate.”
