Fears of evictions and foreclosures due to coronavirus financial hardships could be set aside for a while. The Arizona House passed an emergency budget package that includes $50 million in funding to help with coronavirus relief.

That bill was previously passed by the state Senate. The legislature then adjourned for at least three weeks.

It also provides services for the homeless, assist small businesses and pay for food bank operations. The package includes longer welfare payments and a waiver from work requirements.

It adds to a basic budget package that the Legislature is rushing through to ensure the government keeps running during the virus crisis.
