Arizona’s solar market had a strong year in 2019, more than doubling its installed capacity from 2018, according to a new industry report.
Forty percent of all new electric generating capacity in the U.S. in 2019 came from solar, which is the highest share ever and more than any other source of electricity, according to the U.S. Solar Market Insight 2019 Year-in-Review report. The report was released March 17 by the Solar Energy Industries Association and Wood Mackenzie.
Arizona saw 909.53 megawatts of solar installed during 2019, up from 342.8 megawatts installed during 2018, according to the report.
