The city of El Mirage has approved the rezoning of 39.71 acres for a new 480,661-square-foot manufacturing center for Cavco Industries.

Phoenix-based Cavco makes manufactured homes. The facility is at Dysart and West Joe R. Ramirez Roads in the West Valley.

The El Mirage City Council approved changing the zoning on the land from agriculture to light manufacturing at its March 3rd meeting.

El Mirage Mayor Alexis Hermosillo and other city officials have been looking for opportunities to bring more jobs and economic development to the West Valley city.
