Governor Doug Ducey appointed Gilbert Mayor Jenn Daniels to the State Transportation Board on Friday.

After confirmation by the state Senate, Daniels will represent Maricopa County and serve a six-year term.

“I do have a passion for transportation as I believe it’s the key to economic development and prosperity in our state,” Daniels told The Arizona Republic on Monday.
