Mesa to repair McDowell Road bridge, underpass connecting to Boeing, Falcon Field

Mesa City Council meeting

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Mesa City Council is scheduled to vote today on a $1.4 million project to improve the McDowell Road underpass and bridge adjacent to Boeing’s operations at Falcon Field.

The bridge and underpass connect McDowell Road to the airfield and Boeing’s large operations and manufacturing center in the East Valley.

The underpass and bridge are located on McDowell Road between Greenfield and Higley roads. The structure was built in 1985 and needs repairs because of soil erosion.

The Mesa Council is slated to vote today on approving a $1.4 million construction contract for Schultz Contracting to complete the improvements.
