Plans for the Indian Bend Wash are in motion thanks to a recently-approved municipal use master site plan for a 2-mile segment in south Scottsdale.
The City Council approved on consent at its March 3 meeting a MUMSP for the segment of the Indian Bend Wash between McKellips and Thomas roads, outlining design concepts for future upgrades for the area that includes Vista del Camino and Eldorado parks. Upgrades will come in phases as funding permits, city staff say in a report to council.
In crafting the site plan, city staff say they relied on community feedback as well as what they saw as needed improvements and upgrades to make the area “a safe and enjoyable public space as well as a functional regional drainage corridor.”
