A Scottsdale medical lab is offering drive-up and mobile COVID-19 detection tests for $165 as well as antibody tests being used by medical facilities and medical staffing agencies as well as other employers.
“We have a lot of people calling for the antibody test,” said Tim Terrill, owner of ARCpoint Labs of Scottsdale North.
Terrill said the antibody tests cost $60 and are being used to clear employees to return to work (including at hospitals, trucking companies and other essential workplaces).
Terrill said workers who previously had respiratory symptoms might have been sent home as a precaution.
“Once the symptoms have subsided, they must have a clearance test before they can go back to work,” he said.
Terrill said the drive-up Coronavirus detection tests can be conducted outside ARCpoint’s lab in Scottsdale or the medical firm can potentially go to patients’ locations to conduct the nasal swab tests.
“We can do it mobile as well,” Terrill said. He said there are additional mileage charges for mobile tests.
Terrill said the $165 Coronavirus test is not covered by insurance or government programs. Terrill said results of the COVID-19 test are expected back within 1 to 4 days,
