Scottsdale officials have been running under the same General Plan since 2002 but efforts are underway to update one of the city’s most significant guiding documents.
The city is in the early stages of the update process, which could see a new version of General Plan 2035 sent to voters in November 2021.
General Plan 2035, the result of years of work by community members and city staff, was scuttled by the City Council in 2016 and never sent to voters following disputes over rural land use designations.
