The Monday Morning Commute: Ask the traffic engineer. What continuous street in Scottsdale has eight different names?

By Paul Basha, traffic engineer, Summit Land Management

What continuous street in Scottsdale has eight different names?

HINT: It’s the second longest continuous street in the City of Scottsdale.

Another HINT: Think Chaparral High School.

Gold Dust Road becomes 74th Street which becomes Mescal Street which becomes 70th Street which becomes Mountain View Road which becomes 92nd Street which becomes 94th Street which becomes Thompson Peak Parkway. A distance of 17 miles. (Scottsdale Road is 24 miles within the Scottsdale city limits. One segment of Pima Road is 8 miles, another disconnected segment of Pima Road is 10.5 miles.)
