Fans of “¡Americano! The Musical” can help support the Phoenix Theatre Company by watching a virtual concert inspired by the show. The locally produced musical that tells the story of a Dreamer had its world premiere here Jan. 29.

Carrie Rodriguez, the singer/songwriter who wrote the music for “¡Americano!,” will perform a one-hour show from her home in Austin, Texas, on Friday, April 24. Tickets cost $5 and part of the proceeds go to Phoenix Theatre Company, which brought “¡Americano! The Musical” to the stage.

“The Songs and Story of ¡Americano!” showcases the music of Rodriguez, who performs new and traditional interpretations of songs through her fiddle playing and vocals. Her most recent album, “Lola,” released in 2016, was included on National Public Radio’s top 50 albums of the year list.
