Lesko to face competition in congressional election

While other congressional races may be impacted by social distancing, the 8th Congressional District has a healthy field of candidates — meaning Rep. Debbie Lesko faces plenty of competition.

The deadline was April 6 for those who gathered enough signatures to file as candidates. Though congressional candidates receive electronic signatures of support, most rely on getting signatures door to door. Several candidates said that has been a challenge, with restrictions and advisories from the COVID-19 pandemic.
