Mansion in Scottsdale sells for almost $6M

A retirement community executive and a founder of a Canadian asset management holding company were among the sellers of the most expensive homes in metro Phoenix this week.

Among the luxury features at the properties: a home theater, courtyards and guest houses.

$5,895,000

Orr Investments LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, paid cash for a 9,121-square-foot mansion in Scottsdale’s Silverleaf at DC Ranch community.

The two-story home has five bedrooms, 6½ bathrooms and was built in 2014. The mansion features a 15-seat home theater, seven fireplaces and multiple balconies that offer McDowell Mountains views.

Tracy L. Thares sold the 1.96-acre estate using a trust that lists Jim Thares as a beneficiary. Jim Thares is the founder and CEO of Primrose Retirement Communities LLC based in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
