Peoria approves one-time payment to chamber of commerce

The Peoria City Council has approved a one-time $19,200 payment to the Peoria Chamber of Commerce to help the business group deal with the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic impacts.

The money is coming from the city of Peoria’s Half Cent Sales Tax Fund. The Peoria Chamber is helping West Valley businesses and job seekers as they navigate the economic perils of the Coronavirus.

Chambers of commerce, trade group and other nonprofits are all also feeling the financial strains of the pandemic.
