Pinal County officials sue Arizona Department of Health Services to release COVID-19 data

Several Pinal County public officials have filed a lawsuit against the Arizona Department of Health Services and the Pinal County Health Department, asking for the release of non-personally identifiable information related to positive cases and deaths from COVID-19.

The lawsuit demands the two agencies release the dates and zip codes for COVID-19 cases and deaths in Pinal County from AZDHS. The lawsuit also seeks information regarding testing practices, pending results, the number of patients hospitalized and the number of available ventilators from the Pinal County Health Department.
