The Chandler City Council is scheduled to vote tomorrow on annexing land and rezoning the Treeland nursery property for a new single-family residential development.

Maracay Homes wants to build 86 new homes on the 25.1 acres at Chandler Heights Road and 124th Street.

The land is currently unincorporated.

Chandler is being asked to annex the 27.74 acres encompassing the Treeland nursery property near McQueen Road.

The county land is zoned rural. It will initially be zoned agriculture upon Chandler’s annexation.

The Chandler Council is being asked to rezone the East Valley property to single-family residential at its meeting tomorrow.
