Charges dropped against Fountain Hills restaurant owner cited for allowing on-site dining

Charges have been dropped against a Fountain Hills restaurant owner accused of allowing on-site dining in violation of Gov. Doug Ducey’s executive order.

Merita Kraja, who owns Euro Pizza Café in Fountain Hills, had allowed patrons to dine on the restaurant’s premises on at least two instances in March, according to a Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office report.

In March, Ducey had ordered all restaurants to begin providing takeout orders only in an attempt to curb the spread of COVID-19.
