Suns execs: Arena renovations on schedule and ‘pretty close to being on budget.’

While it is unclear when National Basketball Association games will resume and when fans will be watching them in person, the Phoenix Suns will be ready with a completely renovated arena.

The Suns opened Talking Stick Resort Arena to the media for a recent tour to show off what has been completed so far on the $230 million renovation of the downtown, city-owned building. While the entire project isn’t expected to be finished until fall 2021, the majority of work should be done before the 2020-21 NBA season, which is still slated to begin in the fall.
